Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) was created in 2005 by merging all publicly held healthcare organizations in Abu Dhabi. Managed by the world renowned Cleveland Clinic, SKMC provides comprehensive healthcare services, medical facilities and world class and patient care to the people of Abu Dhabi, in addition to promoting general health and well-being among citizens through education and awareness programs.

SKMC’s healthcare conglomerate is named ‘City’ to reflect the true nature of the new organization, and it rightly wanted a similar website; a vast yet simple network to inform citizens of its numerous services and facilities and help them avail of these.

Flip conceived the Information Architecture and design for the website and provided professional editorial and translation services for English and Arabic content. The website itself is planned and designed to meet SKMC’s chief goals – to educate and spread awareness of medical facilities and initiatives, to help visitors and patients find the necessary medical service and practitioner, and to perform basic transactions. Today, numerous citizens of Abu Dhabi use the website for many things, from learning about SKMC’s numerous facilities to finding a doctor and following-up on their treatment.
