Macromedia recognizes Flip Media's interactive work for the first bi-lingual English and Arabic Formula One website, which was designed and developed for Mercedes-Benz Middle East - one of Flip Media's many international clients.

San Francisco based Macromedia Inc., the worlds' leading developer of web based software solutions and well known for its Macromedia Flash Plug-Ins, recognizes websites based on their strong visual designs, superior functionalities and innovative uses of Macromedia products. Macromedia launched the Macromedia Award Programme in 2001 to promote innovation and outstanding success. Since then a broad range of international brands such as Adidas, Hewlett-Packard, Honda, NBC, Nike, Nokia, Porsche, Sony, Volvo, and others have received awards. Award winners are selected by a panel of industry professionals at Macromedia, who receive thousands of submissions daily.

"We are very proud to receive this prestigious award which will support us to win more business globally", says Martin Diessner, Business Development Director, Flip Media. "It pleases us even more that an international jury has also recognized our work, as this is the first time for both Flip Media and for Mercedes-Benz worldwide to receive such an award.

"Our goal with the Mercedes-Benz Formula One 2004 website was to communicate the emotional experience of the Formula One event season, combined with the technology of the F1 cars that sports enthusiasts can now experience for the first time in the Middle East", explains Dinesh Lalvani, Creative Director of Flip Media. "To build a dynamic content-driven website in English and Arabic was certainly a challenge, but one of the most important requirements to address the Arabic target audience in our region", adds Lalvani.

Nicholas Speeks, CEO DaimlerChrysler Middle East comments: "The English and Arabic Formula One Mercedes-Benz Middle East micro site underlines our regional commitment to the pinnacle of international motor sport."

Arndt Schmidtmayer, e-Business and CRM Manager of DaimlerChrysler Middle East ads: "This informative and technically sophisticated micro site, which includes 3-D animation for each racetrack, is attracting almost 30,000 visits every month, which is a major achievement."
