Flip Media announced today that it received nine awards at the 2009 Summit Creative Awards, including one gold award. This prestigious international award recognizes the creative accomplishments of small and medium sized ad agencies throughout the world with annual billings of under $30 million. Over the last decade, the competition has established itself as the premier arbiter of creative excellence for firms of this size. Flip’s work for the highly acclaimed “Make The Switch” campaign, a non-profit initiative, earned the coveted gold medal in the non-profit category. “We would like to congratulate Flip Media for yet another success. Maketheswitch.ae has proven to be a bit hit with visitors judging from the feedback we have received, coupled with this prestigious recognition which is a testament to Flip’s abundant talent and creative capital,” said Wahdah Abusin, Managing Partner at Ecobility. Flip also took three silvers for the GE recruiting website “Come Join GE“, Make the Switch-Save Energy 2, for best idea never produced, and for Heroes of the UAE, a non-profit website. Rania Rostom, GE Communications Manager for Middle East and Africa, congratulated Flip on the award. “The best part of working with Flip was engaging with a team that is genuinely curious and passionate enough to dig deeper into our company’s story. Flip excercised strong creative problem solving skills that made a real difference. It’s fantastic to see that their work has been rewarded,” she said. In addition, Flip was recognized with five Bronze statues for work for Make The Switch - Save Energy 1, Future Bazaar (ecommerce website), Make The Switch(consumer image website), The Address (Travel/Tourism website), and theWaterfront micro site. “These awards are a great achievement for our team,” said Humza Ijaz, Associate Creative Director at Flip Media. “Developing a public awareness campaign can be a big creative challenge in this part of the world. With maketheswitch.ae, we were able to take an important environmental cause and create a fun and engaging interactive educational experience. All of our work is a great collaborative effort and being recognized means a lot to all of us.” The 2009 competition drew entries from twenty-six countries. This is the third consecutive year Flip Media has won accolades at the Summit Awards.
