On Monday, 5th of December, 2005, I will be offline. Together with my collegue Dimitri Metaxas, i-Media Director at Impact Proximity, part of the international BBDO network, we will spend a whole day without the Internet, access to e-Mail, SMS and our mobile phone.

The idea is to document how dependent we have become to the online medium, and how it effects our daily life.

From the wake-up ring of our mobile phone, ups I mean alarm clock (Nokia communicator not allowed that day!) until going to sleep at night we will have to manage the day without connectivity to the Internet and cell network.

I am scared on how to manage my business during that day; and at the same time look forward to that challenge.

We will publish our diary in Campaign Middle East and of course on this blog, and hopefully will be also filmed 24 hours by our AME Info friend Lisa Creffield. So watch this space for more updates!

Science fiction does not remain fiction for long. And certainly not on the Internet.

My passion is obviously my job @ Flip. Trying to balance this by running, mountain + road biking and here and there a game of squash. Favourite destinations: Asia all over the place, and little hide-out in Cyprus and heart beating for Cape Town. Music: Whatever fits on my iPod, and definitly a full collection of U2.
