The Big Win & then > The Bigger Celebration !!!
India wins the 20 20 WORLD Cup. As many of you’ll know by now of India’s massive breathtaking win in the ICC 20 20 World Cup!
Monday, 24th September, 2007 dawned with the feeling of doubts, tension, happiness and hope to win the ICC 20-20 World Cup. Especially after the disastrous World Cup some months back, the Indian Cricket team was just showing some best performances in the last few matches and the whole nation was looking upto them. The unexpected entry into the finals really got the passion of cricket back into everyone. And soon we had the whole nation sitting upright with excitement to see this match.
The day started with a lot of anticipation, the tension, the heavy bets, but with a very INDIAN feeling swelling up in our hearts. To show our excitement and our support to the team, we actually drew the tricolor right across our faces. It was an India-Pakistan match, the effect bound to be like a war, like a battlefield.
The evening was packed with fireworks and excitement to the core. It was one of the best cricket matches we have witnessed in ages and surely it will be one of the most talked about in the forthcoming years.
The match was simply ecstatic with all of us breathing with the phews!, wows!, OH NO!.. etc.. all at one go. We were all praying with all our hopes that we win this series, everyone in unison. The entire match was a tough fight with both the teams giving their full on 100% to fight. The final overs were really something… sure enough for anyone to get a heart attack!
And finally that last catch of the match, the highlight when all of us, infact, the whole of the nation cheered in unison. It was simply fantastic!!…
It was just a dream India Pakistan Final for a World Cup Championship and India going on to actually winning the series was an icing on the cake. The more was that we actually had our Boys in Blue giving a very sincere tough fight to the Pakistan team, which made up for anything.
The entire office, started screaming & dancing with joy to celebrate this victory. We just went crazy with world cup win! In between all of us, Omkar, though excited and happy, he took a moment and shot our video of madness, our excitement, our happiness in winning the world cup. Only later when we actually saw the video, we were like – OH MY GOD! IS THAT US?
