Jobs pulls another rabbit (iPhone) out of the hat
He has done it again. For the past couple of years people have been trying to second guess what this device would be, there have been so many mockups designs, so many wish-lists.

I remember when they partnered with motorola and came out with that abysmal product called the ROKR. Although I think the ROKR was a ploy by apple to buy more time to build the ideal product. But no one could have predicted this one. For a product to get a standing ovation says something. This is going to be one of those products that will definitely change the way we look at mobile phones forever. Although there are quite a few unanswered questions it is definitely 5 years ahead of its time.
Points of concern.
- How durable is it. Mobile phones take a beating, my niece has on more than a few occasions tossed my phone on the floor. How much shock can this device withstand.
- Does the glass scratch like the first generation Nano?
- Will it support Microsoft (yuck) products like word, excel and powerpoint. Or atleast a preview version? If this happens i am more than willing to toss my ugly blackberry.
- If it is built on OS X will it support any application? Preferably Skype or iChat?
- How much will it cost if you dont use cingular, or dont live in the United States and need an unlocked version?
- Will it support other iPod and Nano accessories?
- Will it mow my lawn?
I am sure a lot of these will be answered over the next few months by Steve ‘The Magician’ Jobs, so all that we can do is look forward to this device finally surfacing over here in the middle east sooner that 2008. In the mean time keep a look on this iPhone countdown website at http://www.iphonecountdown.com/ complete with a PDF file with a cardboard cutout of the phone incase you cant wait for the real thing
