Step into Flip’s Tech hub and the first thing that strikes most people is the pin-drop silence. Even if we have to talk to the guy next to us, we do it over MSN.
Located in Trivandrum’s Technopark, South India’s answer to Silicon Valley, the Flip TRV office is home to our team of 38 programmers, designers and flashers. We are the “behind the scenes” guys that translate the innovative designs and concepts of Flippers into functioning high tech deliverables for our clients.
Our work here can be high stress, with many late nights, hence it gets quiet and intense around the office, but when we DO know how to let loose and have fun….in the offline world.
Tech-a-break, an annual celebration for around 250 companies based here in Technopark was a great chance for us to leave our computers behind and unwind. The program was initiated with a polka dot themed carnival-style parade, led by our very own Felix Justus, who does magic with User Interface. At the office he is used to juggling multiple projects on tight deadlines, and he showed us he can take those skills off line as well!
We may not have such parades every day, but we are blessed to be living and working in one of the most lush places on the planet. So when we need a break from the high tech world, we just walk out onto our balcony and are surrounded by wide open green spaces.
