The Mo Ibrahim Foundation is a London based non-profit organization which promotes good governance in Africa. The foundation grants the world’s largest yearly prize of $5 million (exceeding even the Nobel Peace Prize) to an African head of state who has shown exemplary performance in improving conditions in their nation. In addition, the foundation publishes an index ranking of government performance in the 48 countries of sub-Saharan Africa.

Flip Media was commissioned to develop the foundation’s website in four languages (English, French, Arabic, Portuguese). The advanced design and information architecture across the site required a careful, highly technical build. The content rich site includes interactive graphics and Flash design.  In order to display the rankings and criteria for each country, Flip utilized CMS driven Flash development which enables the client to display scores and rankings using advanced charting visualization. With just a few clicks, visitors to the site can compare how countries measure up to one another on several different governance criteria. In addition, the site has advanced technologies which allow for private VIP RSVPs  for the prestigious yearly prize ceremony.
