Camps Bay Neighbourhood Watch (CBW) is a program that was recently launched by the Camps Bay Community Police Forum in order to combat crime.
Statistics show that successful Neighbourhood Watch projects, have dramatically reduced crime by as much as 80%, by simply harnessing the effective crime fighting tool of mobilized & empowered residents working together for a common goal.
Camps Bay is an area in Cape Town, South Africa, that is situated closely to the main city on a beach front with a beautiful mountain back drop (12 Apostles) and surrounded by Signal Hill and Lions head. It has only three entrances by road from the city on Victoria Road, via the mountain over Kloof Neck (hill) and towards Hout Bay on the beach road.
The website portal that Flip Media will be building is an information portal that will inform residents of Camps Bay about all issues related to crime, and how to prevent it. The portal will be open to the public, but some information kept to only those users that are registered, approved and logged in.
