Flip Dubai moves into Office 2.0
After years of searching, and months of anticipation, we've finally moved into our awesome new office. We've been searching for one for years, but Dubai Media City has never had new space available for us, and it's a problem that became even more acute when we hired 20 new Flippers in a space of three months to manage the global Emirates Airline web presence. Back in September, we got word that a new building had been completed, so we all ran over, took some pictures and emailed them to Martin, who was working from Germany. Two days later, we had the approvals from the Flip board to move in, and it was all "go go go"! After three months of paperwork, the Internet connection came to life on Thursday afternoon, and most of the teams had moved in by 9:00 on Sunday morning. We still have a few finishing touches left to put on it - like phone lines and fax lines - but we're in and we love it. The massive 6,000 sq. ft. office features:
- Huge team-oriented worktables where everyone can plug in and work together.
- An Experience Theater for training and client presentations
- 4 smaller meeting rooms and quiet rooms
- My own office (yay!)
- Coffee bar and chillout lounge (under construction)
We're almost all moved in now, and the response from everyone has been overwhelmingly positive. We love the new office! Come and visit Flip 2.0!
