When we planned this trip last week, we had very high ambitions of 7 people coming along. We managed to lose four people betwen Thursday and Saturday on account of hangovers, girl trouble and office fitouts, but Martin, Michael and I still managed to get our act together and make it down to Khor Fakkan for a couple of dives.

We dived both Martini Rock and Hole in the Wall, which involves swimming through an underwater cave 1 meter high and 6 meters long. Very cool stuff. On the way home, I took Martin via the "space tunnel" and we spent a very enjoyable hour racing an Emarati in a Nissan Patrol through the Fujeirah mountains at speeds we really shouldn't have been doing. It all felt like a Jamiroquai video, minus the Lamborghinis..
